I started the daunting task of finding a daycare while I was pregnant. I was really stressed out trying to find a daycare. She was my first baby & would be 3 months old when I had to leave her to return to work. I met many childcare providers and came to Hidaya at the last minute. Saida (Fatima) & Haaji were upfront & open with us. They encouraged us to verify their credentials & ask around about their reputation. Their philosophy is to work together (with the parents requirements/wishes) to care for, protect and guide your child. I never worried about my daughter and leaving her in Saida’s care gave me the security I needed to be able to go back to work & focus on my job without reservation. At the end of the day they would provide me with a print out which summarized the times she ate & how much milk she took, when she took naps & how long, how many diapers were changed! I miss Hidaya, and cried when I had to tell them that our family situation had changed & we could no longer bring our daughter to their wonderful daycare. You couldn’t leave your child in better care…really!
